This is the first CD release by the Microphones, released in mid 1998. It collects from 3 earlier cassette only releases: Microphone, Wires & Cords, and TESTS. The CD was released by Elsinor Records in Bellingham, Wash. Recording was done mostly at the Business in Anacortes, Wash., with some songs done at Dub Narcotic Studio in Olympia.
These are the early recording experiments of young Phil Elvrum, with appearances by Louisa Crowe, Maddy Crowe, Karl Blau, Khaela Maricich, Amber Bell, Arrington de Dionyso, Aerick MackKintosh, Jenn Kleise, Jenny Jenkins, Mark Fuller, Al Larsen, Courtney Bennett, Danny Sasaki, Bronwyn Holm, Leica Piranha & Nelly Laudicina.
